Had a similar situation to what others have mentioned here. I placed an order for a processor, which the site claimed was available. After two days of silence, I reached out via email. Turns out they were waiting for it to be shipped from Germany. So, that was the first fib; it clearly wasn’t in stock. They said it would take 5 days to get to the UK.

Five days went by, and I followed up again. They told me it was on its way but would take another 3 days or so.

When that time passed, I checked in again, and suddenly the supplier couldn’t fulfill the order. So, that was the second lie, since it was supposedly on its way. Clearly, it wasn’t.

They offered to get one from a different supplier or give me a refund. I opted for the refund, which they assured me they would handle.

Another day went by with no confirmation email. I followed up again and was told, "Oh, the shop took care of that, but I’ll resend the email since something must’ve gone wrong." Just 30 seconds later, the email showed up. Funny how that works, right? My hunch is that nothing was actually done, but I can’t prove it.

They then informed me it would take 10 working days for the refund to hit my bank, and they’d let me know when the money was in my account.

As I write this, it’s been 12 working days since that promise, which feels like an eternity to wait for a refund, and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve sent two emails with no response and called the number on the site multiple times with no luck.

I ordered this a month ago, and I’ve got nothing—no product, no refund, and I’m left chasing them down since communication is nearly nonexistent.

To anyone thinking of buying from this site, steer clear if you want to avoid this kind of hassle.

Looks like I might have to take legal steps or try to reclaim it through my credit card.

What a mess of a company.

Edit May 2022 - I finally got my money back through the credit card company. I never made any progress with a direct refund from them. They offered a partial refund on one occasion and promised more money later. I just decided to let the credit card company handle it.

I suspect corepowerpc is out of business and now operates as sol tech design, probably under the same ownership. Classic move to close up shop and start fresh under a new name to dodge debts.

I ordered a graphics card, and after waiting for 2 weeks on a list, my order got cancelled because of "problems with our supplier." Then, it took another 2 weeks to finally get my refund, which only happened after I had to threaten them with legal action. Seriously, just skip these folks.

I spotted my rx6600 graphics card on the website at a price I was after, so I grabbed it Friday morning around 8:30 am and even paid extra for next-day delivery. The item was in stock, but it didn’t arrive until Wednesday 🤷. That’s not what I call 24 hours! It was super slow since they didn’t ship it out until Monday night at 6:47 pm, missing the last post.

I gotta say, I was really in a bind when my work computer just gave up on me. All my projects from the past five years were gone! Yeah, I know, I should've backed it up, but I didn’t. Two different companies told me it was a lost cause, but not Core Power! They took out my hard drive, got me a new Mac, and installed my old hard drive into it. Then they transferred all my memory to the new one. Now, I’ve got all my work back, and my new computer is running like a champ. Huge thanks to Core Power! Super professional, really helpful, and just great folks.
